Tiara Ramos
Hi! My name is Tiara Ramos and I am currently a junior at Rutgers Camden. I am majoring in Social Work with two minors- one in childhood studies and the other in psychology. For my internship, I am working with Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey. This organization aims to work with girls towards building strong, smart, and bold leaders. This mission operates through various programs/ workshops all within schools or outreaches. I have the pleasure of working at York Ship Elementary and Coopers Point for in-school and after-school programs. In these programs, we provide immersive lessons surrounding the organization’s curriculum, homework help, crafts, and other activities. The work I have done has allowed me to actively make an impact on the girl’s growth, receive hands-on experience, strengthen my facilitation skills, and learn how to regulate a classroom setting. Overall, it has been an amazing experience thus far and I am so excited to see what more is to come.

Timothy Tham
Hello, my name is Timothy! I am a freshman undergraduate at Rutgers-Camden majoring in psychology. I am currently an education intern at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG), a non-profit art gallery dedicated to the chronological life and work of Isaiah Zagar and his vast collection of mosaic artwork. As an intern, I am tasked with being involved in all elements of PMG, including its preservation work, marketing strategies, and education workshops. Ultimately, I am expected to be decently enriched in the history of PMG and Isaiah Zagar’s artistry by the end of the program. While my time working with this museum is short, I have already been impressed by PMG’s tireless effort to curate an art environment which promotes progressive ideals and a more inclusive future.
