2019 ICPSR Summer Program Diversity Scholarship Awarded to PhD Student Mary Louise Mitsdarffer
Congratulations to PhD student, Mary Louise Mitsdarffer, who was awarded a Diversity Scholarship for the 2019 ICPSR Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research at the University of Michigan which was established in 2018 to promote quantitative training among incoming graduate students from underrepresented groups. Thanks to a generous grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Diversity Scholarship was expanded in 2019 to offer awards to continuing graduate students from underrepresented groups. The Diversity Scholarship Awards enable promising graduate students to acquire additional preparation in quantitative analysis with the objective of improving their academic performance and optimizing their professional advancement.
