“Tools of War, Tools of State: Stories of Military Recruitment of Children in Global North-Shouth Relations” presented by Dr. Jana Tabak.

Dr. Jana Tabak is Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations at theState University of Rio de Janeiro.  She is the author of “The Child and the World: Child-Soliders and the Claim for Progress” (University of Georgia Press, 2020) and co-editor of “Childhoods in Peace and Conflict,” with J. Marshall Beier (Palgraves, 2021).  She has taught in the areas of international organizations, critical security studies, and children and war.
